Grant of $5,500 Will Extend Efforts to Save More Animal Lives
Henderson, NC – Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society (RCAPS) has received a $5,500 grant from Petco Love to pay for veterinarian care for dogs and cats awaiting transport and adoption in communities in the Northeast.
Petco Love’s commitment to animals across the United States is saving more lives each and every year. RCAPS pulls dogs and cats from the Vance County Animal Shelter in Henderson, NC. Even though our Shelter if active in placing dogs and cats in loving homes, there are always more animals than homes. This is where RCAPS steps in to pull dogs and cats and put them in our Transport Program. Cats and dogs pulled from the Shelter by RCAPS are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested and ready to travel to Northeastern States to be adopted. Our Transport Program ensures as many animals as possible from the Shelter find loving, forever homes.
“There are so many wonderful dogs and cats that find themselves homeless and we are fortunate that the Vance County Animal Shelter is their safe-net. We work close with the Shelter to pull dogs and cats from the facility when the Shelter is overcrowded. We provide any/all medical needed for each dog or cat to get them Adoption Ready. The grant from Petco Love is a life-saver in so many ways” said Mary Boyd, Founder of Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society. For more information about RCAPS visit: https://www.rcaps.org
